I made the most delicious lasagna last week. It started with a three meat bolognese with beef, bacon and sausage 🤤🤤
Don‘t hate me when I tell you that the texture of plain ricotta is not my my favorite thing... but trust me when I say that the bechamel sauce will give you all that delicious ricotta flavor to satisfy your cheese loving needs! Just imagine, a creamy cheesy sauce layered with an ultra thick bolognese sauce with piles of fresh mozzarella cheese... are you drooling yet? Because I am! 🤤🤤🤤
Leveled up Lasagna:
Bolognese:
1 yellow onion
3 carrots
3 celery stalks
1 pound ground beef
1 pound Italian sausage
3 cloves garlic
5 slices bacon
1/2 cup red wine
28 oz crushed tomatoes
6 oz tomato paste
1/2 cup water or broth
about 1 tsp each
Italian seasoning, thyme, oregano, basil, parsley, garlic powder
I also add sugar to taste about 1 tbsp
salt and pepper to taste
Bechamel:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
4 cups whole milk
1/2 cup Parmesan
15 oz ricotta
1/2 cup mozzarella
Dash of nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
2 boxes lasagna noodles
16 oz fresh mozzarella
2-3 cups shredded mozzarella
